About Me

I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services from Appalachian State University and continued my education with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Alabama. Today, I am an Associate Licensed Counselor in the state of Alabama as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. I work under the supervision of Leslie Weaver Martin, LPC-S, NCC.

From a young age, I possessed a desire to pursue a career that allowed me to help others. As my college career progressed, it became increasingly clear that counseling was my calling. Having the opportunity to walk alongside others through some of their darkest moments is a true privilege.

I have a passion for and years of experience in working with individuals who struggle with fear of the future and feeling not "good enough". I know all too well what it's like to be consumed with anxiety about what the future may hold. My goal is to empower these individuals to create their own destiny allowing them to approach big life changes with confidence instead of worry.

Additionally, I enjoy working with couples to improve communication and deepen their understanding of each other. I have completed Level I training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and utilize this method as the foundation in my work with couples.
